Heading out through the south passage tomorrow morning around 7am. if anyone is keen to follow out more than welcome. I will be at Raby Bay ramp at 6.30am. iIam hoping to get to the Cathedrals . I am not sure what the bar is doing at the moment or if the passages have changed in all the wild weather. Anyone know?

Amity Channel is OK, nice and wide, actually. Northern Channel just go straight East. The dog leg at the East end has gone, and watch carefully coming in over the lip on the outside. North Channel seems to be much shallower now, too.

I've come in over the North Channel at low tide a couple of times in the last week, and it was OK, just keep your goo goos open!

I have NOT crossed Amity at low tide or in untidy weather though - watch that swell, I was down to 2 metres under the boat sometimes, mid tide.

Was thinking of a trip tomorrow, but decided against. I DO NOT want to hear of lots of fish caught! Man I will be p!ssed! Good Luck!

    Cheers,

    Tim

I got as far as launching the boat today and realized only 1 motor would go into gear

It had just been serviced and I think they forgot to link the gearbox rod back in.

Till next time. I am happy I went for a run Before Fraser!
