    Stinky Pine

Went for a prawn down the Pine today.Besides a few prawns i got a Yellowbelly about 2 kilos.Never seen one there before and considering it was in salt water it was a surprise.Has anyone else done the same?

Must have washed out of Lake Kurwongbah during the recent rains. They were stocked in the North Pine (although that's now stopped). I presume some were put in Kurwongbah at the same time.

yep there are some in Kurwongbah but the only ones I know of were stocked a year or so ago (wouldn't be 2kg in size yet). I guess they could have been stocked in there earlier?

not soo uncommon catching fresh water fish in salt after good rain, I can remember years back, last time they let water out of north pine people were catching yella's and bass off the woody point pier!!!

    cheers
