    feed of sandies

took the family out crabbin this mornin at my spot x....left manly a bit late around 6.15..droped 12 dillies in by 6.40 and went for a fish nearby....landed a nice flattie going 49cm on 6 pound line....1 check of the dillies we got 17 keepes...then back fishin and the missus got a sole 32cm....so we did another check of the dillies for another 10 keepers ...the call was made to have another fish for 20 minutes then pull them out and go home.....son caught 2 grinners ...pulled the pots out for another 7 keepers so a great day out....used half a mullet in each dillie for bait .

    Re: feed of sandies

Well done mate, I went out yesterday and crabbed Northern side of Coochie and banana banks and only came home with 2 legals using mullet frames. I've heard a Northerly wind turns off the fish, is this true with the sandies too, because I honestly thought we'd done much better.

I have caught a few nice feeds throughout the season though.

    Cheers

northerly dosn't seen to affect my catch rate.....but to be honest haven't takin much notice of the wind direction.....as long as its not blowing more than 20 knts . will go and try to catch a feed of crabs...
