    Waddy Weather Tips

G'day everyone. Just one question for you guys with some Fraser experience. We're going up either monday or next weekend. Just looking at our forecast options.

Does a couple of meters of SE'ly swell gernerall mean we are stuck on the beach
96m boats) or is it generally ok to get out with the stuff from the south. Having never been there i don't know how good a job waddy does and shutting it out. Understand it would probably be crap outside, just want to know to know if we can get out to start.

Should be up there tonight for tomorrow but thats another story!!

Waddy's launch gutters face more NE, so a decent SE will obviously kick the swell, but it's still doable.
Swell direction is the big one - more than wind. If there is any North in the swell, it can get a bit hairy.

Good luck getting up the beach though - I'd talk to the rangers on the island if you haven't already. Might not make it with boats on at the moment?

Have a look on Google earth at Waddy - it'll be self explanatory.

Yeah, saw that mistake backlash and was waiting for someone to make a crack.. Would be a bit of an issue keeping the fuel up to her!!

GBC, thanks fot that. Yep, could be a bit of an issue. Boats went through around the bottom side of chard yesterday so we'll see how we go, planning to hit the happy valley - eli stretch right on the bottom of the tide so hopefully we can go round. I'll get a post up when i get up there.
