SOMERSET SESSION Midyear Muster 25th July

Unfortunately I forgot to pick up my marker buoy at some stage on the weekend having lobbed it over a school it wasn't until I went to lob it again later in the day and it was gone I realised what I had done . The marker was a beauty to, a foam dumbbell with the cord wrapped around the centre tied to a snapper sinker. Keep an eye out for it when you mob are share farming red claw pots at Somerset.

For those not familiar with this practice get one or more; just a small float on a length of cord with a snapper sinker. When you cross a school drop the marker. A sports water bottle or similar works well so you can wind the cord around it.

Maybe the plan should be to assess the locations / weather forecast for those of us that plan to arrive on the Friday and set up as a group and fly a flag of some sort, then as the rest of the mob arrive they can set up around us.. once they spot the flag..
