not exactly sure what you are asking, I would be thinking that it is some sort of Truck? if so, I then guess you are coming down and want to bring it with you, am I close so far? OH and welcome.
Yes , I am talking about Trucks. Dodge Truck with a 5.9L Cummins under the hood.
Here is my Truck and boat at a friends house on the way home from Florida last year.
They are not sold by dealers over here but you can import them and then get them converted. To get one over here and converted costs the same money as the car itself. The old man took advantage of the good $$ and brought a new GMC sierra late last year - great tow truck.
I wish we had the range of trucks here that you get over there. The max towing capacity of a 4wd sold here is rated to 3500kg's. So unless you get a real truck, or import, buy 2nd hand etc you can't tow anything over that. Mind you we don't have the tripple o/b powered boats that are 30+ft here.
Holy smokes............that's almost twice what I paid new for the truck in the above post last year .
Does Ford or Dodge build any trucks for down there ? if so can someone post a picture and tell me what power is available in them [ Gas and Diesel ] ?
Welder there is no trucks currently for sale in australia at the moment by anyone. The beast we get is Toyota Landcruisers and Nissan Patrols. We pay a little over $110000 au or $79000 us for a Sahara 200 series here.
I think you'll find america gets ALOT of trucks up there that we just dont get here from toyota and nissan. I remember seeing a toyota tundra for the first time about 10 years ago in the states. Its like a beefed up hilux with a V8. I was drooling at the time.
10 years ago when we couldnt even get a V6 at that stage.
they are about to bring out the Toyota Tundra and the Nissan Titan over here; they have 5.6ltr v8's in the. about 3/4 the size of a F250. check out Macquarie4x4 website.Attachment 45393Attachment 45394
4 tonne tow capacity
The Titan with the 5.6L and the Toyota with the 5.7L do well here and are strong trucks. They are the size of the F150 ford but will run circles around it .
The Toyota has 3/4 ton numbers but Toyota keeps it at a 1/2 ton rating . The 5.7L is the motor they run in NASCAR and it's whoopen azz.
There is a rumor here thar Ford is going to offer a 4.2L Diesel in the F150 , that's why I was asking about it.
We all want the land cruisers with the Diesels in them and we can't get them here [ Not offered ] we get the 14 MPG gas hogs.
