Yes, hexheads at speed, or resins at slower speeds.
Live bonnies or mack tuna are best choice for big spaniards.
Slow troll a slimey... or use a downrigger if you have one.

Totally agree with post #2. They will most certainly hit skirted lures but be prepared for them to get damaged far quicker than hard bodies and once they're missing a few strings they don't seem to swim as well so it can be costly. Hard bodies work better anyway imo.

The weather is about to be fantastic Horse!! My wife has just left for 2 weeks in New York and i'm stuck with the kids and totally unable to get out, so i reckon glass outs for 14 straight days then a month opf wind!

hi mate they will takes skirted lures, but i have only every trolled livies and dead baits with awesome success and hundreds of spaniards under my belt now, never had the need to troll lures to get them, a more natural bait is the way to go.

i agree. just had to put my boat in storage while i move house. then i have to modifie the driveway to get it up and down.
so the weather will be great for as least the next 2 to 4 weeks
as for spanish mackrel they will take skirted lures. best color is blue/silver top skirt green/gold bottom skirt.
