talking about the ramp on the South side of the river I guess, not the double ramp next to the CG on the North side? Thanks for the heads up, will definitely make things interersting on good days.

Kawana ramp closing, Mooloolaba staying open... The roundabout near McDonalds might pose an issue for the larger 8m boats though.. Or so I read.

Hope they do a well thought out upgrade.
We always launched our canoe from the Tingalpa creek ramp, which was recently closed and upgraded.... they did a great job, except there's still very little parking spaces there. It's a much nicer ramp now, but I would have thought, logically, that they may have put a couple more parking spaces in there. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they upgraded it, it needed it....
    Cheers!

    Re: Kawana Boat Ramp Closing

I guess when it comes to upgrades, the Authorities responsible (Council?) need to consult some Boaties/fisherman/yakkers/whoever, I have seen one of the ramps near me closed for major "works" and when it was completed all that was actualy done was some parking spaces lost, and a garden and picnic tables built!!! hardly a ramp upgrade I would reckon, so in your interest, get along to the relevant Council and have a look at the plans (they must have them) or maybe it is diffeent in QLD and it is done by some other Authority and you will need to search for them, no use waiting for a couple of months and find out they have done bugger all to help the boaters, but the whole area looks "nice"
