    North straddie-help wanted

Gday guys, been fishing for ages around peel to the jumpinpin. With good catches from both spots. Peel, reef species. And jumpinpin, tailor whitting and flathead.

But Im heading over to North straddie for the weekend and tossing up wheather to take my boat or not? Ive never fished the open beach parts there before (from a boat), although fished the reefs off south straddie.

Where should I go and what should I hope to catch? I want to stay close to the island if I take my boat... And prefferably reef/palagic species. Maybe trolling around amity?

Is it worth it? Or should I just fish from the beach's for the usual.

    BD

hi mate, what size boat? They get good snapper at the rufusking(wreck in the bar) and also good fish around the group at the point if u want to stay close, or there is a wreck in the channel out the front of the amity wall.

4.7 zodiac mate . I take it out to the 24's and 36's off surfers. So its sea worthy. But Im going to have a mate and my girlfriend with me. So those wrecks sound great.. Any gps marks for them?

no marks 4 em but if cross the bar at low tide u can just see the rufus make sure the conditions are good but, cause ur in the bar and it can get a bit hairy! If u have a sounder in the boat u will find the wreck and some other ground at the wall in the channel.

    Yep.

Usually right out at the Amity end.

My dictionary defines green as ‘unripe, immature, undeveloped'. Perfect description.

Most political parties are seen as interested in what the voters think, the Greens are seen as thinking the community should be interested in what they think.
