    Forcelite FLBSR875S. Opinions??

    Hey Guys,

Shopping around for a med-heavy spin rod and wondering if anyone has or has used the Forcelite FLBSR875S?

This rod will mainly be used for chasing LT's in the bay and as my heavy soft plastic out fit. Looking at matching with my current Certate 3000 or 5000 stradic.

Any opinions you have about this rod would be great.

    Thanks

    Ben

i dont have that exact model,
but i do own a forcelite baitcaster rod,
have found it quite nice, matched up with a daiwa zillion,
in saying that it doesnt need to be to responsive to working plastics,
they are not as crisp as the 100% graphite so might be worth checking some of the other models too

i too have a baitcaster 10-14lb from memory its a great rod for most of my bass work so i guess that it would be a good rod

I was considering a Loomis for my last rod purchase but after having a good look over one I don't think they are worth the $$. Not sure if it was the particular rod but the guides didn't line up, the cork wasn't smooth on the handle & for the price they are asking I would expect atleast some fuji sic guides or even better ti-sic. IMO for the price you could do alot better.

hi Ben, I use that rod with a Certate 3000 for throwing lighter plastics for Barra. You can really put a lot of hurt on them if needed and cast a mile. Load the rod up in your tackle shop to test it out, you might be surprised at just how much weight they can take.

Not sure exactly what rod that is you've mentioned but I've got the FLBSR853S and love it. Its 7' 1" and rated 8 - 20lb and balances sweetly with my 3000 sol.

Haven't been lucky enough to push it yet but hope to this weekend. Bring on the jew.........
