Hi, I currently own a 4.6m TABS Territory plate alloy boat. I am currently looking around for an electric motor setup for the boat and was hoping for some advice. I have been told that because the boat is heavier then normal pressed aluminium boats I will need at least 55lb thrust electric. I am unsure as to which brand to look at as well. I have heard some bad reports on the Min Kota with salt water stuffing up electronics while I havent heard any reports on the Motorguide. Does any one have any advice they could share and what sort of cost I would be looking at for a complete installation? I want to make sure I get this right as it's a lot of money to spend. I want to try and stay away from a 24volt system if possible.
