Hi
Used to fish Donnybrook 25years ago. I had a long visit to Western Qld. Glad to get back to some estuary fishing. Went night fishing on Good Friday. Caught mainly bream and couple of whiting. There were quite lot of catfish. I guess I am the sort of fishing person that if it has no scales and is slimey or "barby" that it gets cut off at the back of the boat eg. Stingrays, Pike eels and catfish. Also I prefer to let Shovelnose sharks ?rays go ! My fishing partner wanted to keep it as he had heard they were quite good eating. Also wondering if anyone has a good opinion od catfish other than all those people and restaurants in Mississippi ? Also I saw a comment about someone illegally pumping yabbies. That was the restricted areas like Tripcony and the latest extensions I hope. I tend to pump yabbies on sandbank near magpie beacon at start channel to Donnybrook. That's OK isn't it ? Looking forward to any feedback.

Re: Hi
Thanks for your welcome. Hopefully next fishing trip will be Bribie end of Pumicestone Passage as water was too discoloured and turbid near Donnybrook. Caught 4 bream on Thursday night but even the catfish were few and far apart ! Only have small boat so need extremely good conditions to be comfortable in or near the Bay.
