Over the summer months Townsville received in excess of 1700mm of rain and many fish stocked into the weirs on Ross River have moved. This one went over 3 weirs, down the Ross River then around Cape Cleveland to Barramundi Creek.

This fish was tagged and stocked into Bedford Weir. It probably made it down the river during the 2008 flooding in February as a number of other fish from this release in 2006 have been recaptured down river in the Fitzroy estuary.
