    Re: Replacement Transducer

    Pete,

    I had the same problem with an old X25. The trick is to find a 2nd hand transducer that will be compatible with your X87.

    If you go the the Lowrance web site and into the support section and select FAQ, then type compatible transducer for X87 it with bring up links on their various transducers and which ones would be compatible with your X87.

    http://www.lowrance.com.au/en-au/Sup...ked-Questions/

    Some need an adaptor cable because the connectors get changed over the years but the tranducers themselves do not tend to be changed very often.

    Hope that helps.

    Re: Replacement Transducer

    Hi Pete62,
    the transducer which was displayed by Craig (catfishkid)off of his LMS unit is a HST-WSBL #106-72. The transducer which you require is a HS-WSDX #106-22. This transducer itself will fit and work work on your X87, however the temperature will not. You will still be stuck with the same problem.

    Re: Replacement Transducer

    I got sick of replacing lowrance skimmer transducers, they didn't last very long up to a couple of years each at best, anyway due to 'jack of this' I would purchase second-hand units when they came up even ones with different conectors and simply cut and shut the cable to save all the drama of fully re-routing the substandard product every time, never ever noticed any drop in usability as a result.

    just a thought.

    cheers fnq

    Re: Replacement Transducer

    If you need to look up parts, part numbers or available accessories for Lowrance or Eagle this site is very useful;

    http://www.lei-extras.com/store/default.asp

    Note that this site does not sell outside the USA unfortunately;

    "We are currently unable to accept or ship orders outside the U.S. "

    I search brought up this;

    HST WSDX part # 106-22

    Transom mount, 20 degree skimmer with built-in temp sensor (200kHz). (25 ft cable)

    Works with: FishEasy 2 (w/ Gray Connectors), FishMark 160, FishMark 240, LCX-104C, LCX-15CI, LCX-15CT, LCX-15MT, LCX-16CI, LCX-18C, LCX-19C, LMS-240, LMS-320, X51, X71, X87, X88DF, X91, X97, X98DF

    Thanks for the assistance guys, appreciated muchly. I did find the transducer I need, it's one for Electric motor attachement on the Lowrance site, emailed the noted distributor off the site, surprise suprise, no response.

    Cheers and thanks again.
