Was going to head to hawthorne rock wall today where the ferry is. I was just wondering if anyone has fished that spot or could give me some could advice in terms of bait, casting etc.
Me and the wife were strolling along the river walk that runs from the bulimba ferry down past the new riverside units. Not far from where your thinking of fishing. Champ I would have a flesh bait or a livie out there of a night time , quick smart. You would have to be a chance of a threadie landbased there . IN fact its been bugging me to go and give it a go.Cheers
i went down there today with my mate.
We used some live prawns that we caught with the cast net, some herring that had just been caught in the cast net but were killed, some bread and i little bit of chicken or beef a guy gave us at the end.
All in all it wasn't too bad, I caught 3 bream and a fingermark whilst my friend caught an alright 32cm cod on the meat and a bream.
