Lucinda Fishing

Iam heading up to Lucinda for the first time for a week next month taking the boat was going to head out to the reef. Can ayone tell me whats the better reef to fish and any tips from the area would be great as i have never spent any time in this area.

The last and second last pylons along the sugar Usually fish well. drop a spoon down and wind back as fast as possible. big GTs and Queenfish.

Put in at Dunganess and fish the southern parts of hinchenbrook for barrra, jacks and if the tide is good Salmon come over the sand bars

Whats the best plan to fish the reef ?

Britomart is our favourite. As it is a long reef there is plenty of weather protected places along the NE edge. If the weather is good then work your way along that edge until you go around the corner heading east and you'll see on the chart lots of shoal country.
