wello crabs

earlier morning wet start 0400,miserable ,set pots in the dark along (rosco 1974) contour lines, pickuped 27 crabs,2 lost ,the bastards bit me(flicked them over the side with a bloody yelp, never had to measure any all nice).In between the pickups ,burleyed up every undersize snapper in morton bay,thick on the sounder all coming in at 25 to 30cm, although a fishless trip will enjoy my crab. thanks (rosco 1974) crabs were at ones and twos deep most in close. cheers alex

ps anyone know the fisho in a yellow yak ,watched him while I was anchored up KEEN

mate your not spose to let them bite you...lol...glad you got a few....should keep you in crab meat for a few days.....will do a post tommorrow on my crabbin efforts over easter....should tip the 100 mark i recon...

out by 0930, they were still potting but the ENE winds pickup and I reckon I had enough.cheers

what do you mean by 'crabs were at ones and twos deep most in close'? is that the depth of water? dillies or pots?

used pots, did 3 pickups, pots were set in 3.5 to 6metres pots in shallow potted 3and 4, pots left deep potted 1and 2(left a couple of pots deep expecting crabs to move out as sun rose ,they didnt) cheers alex

my stepson got a note left on his windscreen today at wello from the guy in the yak, he,s a mate of his from up north, they have both moved down here for work, yak man said 4,30 to 10,30 stint for no fish,, mad keen alright, roy.
