    4500B Baitrunner - rod upgrade

    I have a 4500 BTR with an abu garcia 2 pc 8ft 6-8kg running 15lb mono.

The rod is fine and has landed me land 50cm+ fish but I want to upgrade a semi-bling rod.

I fish landbased and not off the beach or rocks. What suggestions for rods do you guys have for me ?

I am guessing fibreglass and not graphite as I do not run braid on it.

I have done a search and the wilson live fibre rods popped (up to 10kgs) up a few times.

Also the snapper raider 5-8kg or starlo stix snapper fishing 5-8kg / 6-10 kg came up a few times.

I didn't think that the BTR would feel very balanced on the graphite rods .. any comments would be appreciated.

    Cheers

I have a 4500BTR matched up with 7" G.Loomis Pro Blue nicly balanced and has heaps of grunt. Bit of a price tag though, i think around 400 bucks.

My 4500btr is on a 5-8 starlo stix snapper rod, with 20 lb finns, you don't really need to add more weight to the reel, feels good together, just need to see what it feels like with a snapper on the end of it soon. . . .

Woo ! $400 ... might need to pass as that is slightly above my budget!

Any suggestions for a live baiting bait rod to go with the reel as it is used land based ..
