Carmila boat ramp? (south of Mackay)

Heading up to one of the islands off stanage bay in about a month. We were planning to launch our 7m plate boat from Carmila in order to avoid the road into stanage.
    Has anyone done this before?
    What is the ramp like?
Can it be used on all tides?

    Any advice appreciated

    Hi, Clint,

It is a concrete ramp at the mouth of a creek about 5 or 6 k's from Carmila.

You need at least a half tide to get in and out. You can probably go up the creek at a lower tide if you can get your boat in thru all the mud at the bottom of the ramp.

They have big tides in that area.
