I read an article in the local paper last week that stated that our Local marine Advisory Committee is very concerned about reports of up to 28 trout boats with up to 130 dories are headed to Nth Qld due to the destruction of their southern fishing grounds from Cyclone Hamish....

IMO ..this would make a total mockery of quota systems ,green zones and the whole GBRMPA campaign over the past years..

If true, to concentrate such a large number of boats in a small area could decimate trout numbers and I already saw 2 unfamiliar trout boats and their associated dories working over Nor- easter and Farquason reefs on last thursday/ friday...

Ive not seen trout boats working an area together like this before and neither have I seen so many dories work over such a small area of reef for 2 solid days before...
