In life, start off wrong and you'll finish wrong. Put just one skeleton in the closet and you'll have to put another one in to hide the first, and so it goes.
But start off right and you'll finish right. There's no comeback when you stick to the truth - and no skeletons!

I also consider the missing man a mate, and knew of JM.

My deepest condolences to JM's family and friends for their loss.

My thoughts are with JW, his family and his friends during these uncertain times.

A tear in my eye also, after just coming home and reading this. I cannot believe it... I also used to read all of JM's artlices In Bush and Beach Mag and pick up on his great info and tips. A true loss to the SEQ and wider fishing community.
My deepest condolences go to JM's family and friends for their loss.

Went to high school with John even worked with him at Eagers Holden for a time.. When my youngest was born Popped into Redcliffe Car Electrics while he was helpin to run the place for his dad.. First comment was Jeez mate he's a beutey has he got a rod yet ... Have been fishing with him a few times over the years, he taught me how to use my baitcaster properly even tried to convince me on the soft plastics..lol

A top Bloke nothing was to much trouble.. My heart goes out to his beutiful wife and all his kids..

    Fishing was his Passion

    Family was his Love

    He will be sorely Missed.

RIP JM You will truly be missed by so many.

Condolences to family, friends and work mates at Cunningham's Marine and Bush n Beach.

I know that there are also many still out there searching for his fishing buddy and lets hope that he is found, no matter what the outcome. May all those in rescue vessels, who are out there searching, return safely after each search session has ended.

I have been one off those who has been out and done this sort off search before and it is not pleasant but we still do it because we are needed.

    Re: Another fisherman dies

That's 4 confirmed deceased fishos and one still missing in the last week... The guy was obviously experienced and much admired. His fishing buddy has 2 young girls... I didn't know either personally but still have a feeling of loss similar to last week..Devastating for all family and friends and sobering for those of us that venture around the cape and beyond.. For all the talk of bag limit's, lack of catches etc. obviously the most important part of anyone's fishing trip is pulling up back at the ramp safe and intact.

Condolences to all affected and strength to their families....

    Re: Another fisherman dies

Just wanted to send condolances to the families, friends and associates in this dark time.
I had the pleasure of doing some business with these guys at CM and they were brilliant.
Amazing how such a small amount of time spent with them made such an impact on me and my love of boating.

    Will be greatly missed.

    Re: Another fisherman dies

RIP Mate, Hope they find Jason on the beach somewhere a little worse for wear but ok. Goes to show how even the most experienced can come unstuck.

Condolences to both families, work collegues and to all that knew them better than I.

    Re: Another fisherman dies

I didnt know either of them but saw a distressed Bruce Cunningham on TV and seeing these posts they were obviously much respected people who will leave behind many loved ones. How sad. Maybe we take out of it the reminder to check again on every decision we make at sea....condolences to those members who knew them personally....and their poor families. When I was a kid my Dad had a book called The Cruel Sea which these things bring to mind for me.

    Re: Another fisherman dies

Bloody hell. This one is close to home isn't it.
It always seems so far removed when someone faceless is missing. But when you know or know of the guy it really punches you in the guts.

God only knows how these things happen.

My thoughts are with their families.
