Short answer - yep.....got plenty of tailer on slugs during daylight hours.
I don't use poppers to target them, but I can't see why they wouldn't also work.
hey fellas just after abit of info on tailor i plan on fishing for them in the morning an late arvo off the rocks at caloundra iv caught tailor befor during the day on bait but my question is will tailor still be feeding activly an willing to hit poppers after the sun comes up?

Yeh mate definately i did a bit of the rocks last down that way last year.. Try using a popper called cotton cordel they are a pencil popper that skip across the surface like a gar and dont dig in like normal GT poppers. Got a few before thi crazy weather pattern kicked off the rocks off colum..

Yeh as long as they are still on the chew they will hit poppers. When they shut down go back to metals. I have caught good size greenbacks in the middle of the day on Halco Roosters and Cotton Cordels but dawn and dusk is better.

If they are reallt on then poppers will work but I have found metals such as Raiders more effective in most cases. The Pencil poppers work well as do homemade knockoffs
