Well after reading about how many fish have been getting caught at the park of late and heard a rumor they had restocked just the other day, I had to give it ago. So me and the better half palm of the kiddies to the gradparents, and off we go first stopping at the boat ramp as advised for some livies, 2 casts and had a bucket full of little bonies and a couple of mullet. Headed in got the brief been a park virgion and started with wife on livies and i stayed on the lures all day with another rod out with a livie. None of the livies got touched nor were the pellets so we both ended up walking around flicking some gulps and I gave a couple of my new little HB's ago. Results were 1 x 60cm barra for me and 2-3 more hits, the misses 1st time trying lures got 2 hits. On the way out the gentlemen behind the counter didn't catch his name suggested not best time with all the fresh around and cold water so be keeping a very sharp eye on the weather and be doing it ag ain very soon.
Cheers mate... we're heading there tommorow. Hopefully we'll manage to get onto a few. I guess I'll flick in my magic X-RAP right off the start and see what happens.
Last week I didn't get even a single touch on pellets or dead mullet, but as soon as I switched to the X-RAP I was hooked up first cast. Over the following 2 hours I caught 4 with a few hookups and a few more hits after that.
Yeah looking forward to some fine weather hopefully it's nice and warm leading upto the meet and greet still trying to rearrange my schedule so hope to be there.
Nice barra mate, it fired early till about 11:20 then slacked off the rest of the day, once it hit about 3:30 till 4 they started to fire up again. Will be stocking up on a few surface lures and will be hitting it up very soon had alot of fun, only 6 on surface but i am not complaining it was awesome fun! the way they hit and launch out after your lure is unbeleivable. goodluck next time you go.
