2) When is the best time to chase them eg top of tide, incoming tide , night , day etc.
3) ive heard that herring and mullet are great what but am usure with plastics

Re: J E W F I S H
Hi Dan,
Not sure abpout the Maroochy river but I have been getting come nice Jews in the Passage around the 80cm - 95cm and the odd bigger one. I have been using 5''cajun chickens and 5''sweet n sour in the SP on 6kg braid with 20pound leader on a 2500 shimano stradic, good fun when you get a bigger fish on. I also throw out a live mullet and while he swims around i flick my SP around. I have found that if you can get low tide within about an hour of sunrise is the best, but saying that I got 2 around 7kg the other day at 10am in the morning( low tide). The only problem with the live mullet is that there is a few sharks around at the moment and they tend to like them as well,,,but there good fun if the jews are a bit slow.I have also got a few nice jacks on my livies in the last few weeks as well.
Hope this helps,
George
