    Woo hoo..........
If everybody in the history of mankind thought the glass was half full, we'd all still be sitting in a cave with half a glass

    Re: NPD Boating Access

On thursday morning, NPD was at 52.1%.

With the Kurwongbah & NPD catchment ares receiving over 100 mls since 9AM this morning and more good rain likely overnight, how high will NPD go?

    55 to 60% looks possible.

Can't wait to see at least one flood gate open to give the river downstream a good flush

    Re: NPD Boating Access

Luc, couldn't resist going out and having a look last night after 1130pm, you could actually see the water rising in the dam. Tried to take a picture but the rain made near impossible. Haven't seen it rise like that since 98.

I think next summer we may just see the gates open again, unless they are rusted shut due lack of use.

    Hi Myles,

Did the same but at around 1AM. The increase in level since Thursday are impressive.

According to the BOM data, the catchment area behind NPD has received 196 mls since 9AM Monday.

Would love to see the level of the North Pine & Lacey's Creek.

Makes me wish I still had my whitewater kayack.

Just went out and took some pics of Kobble and the North Pine, both rivers have been up higher than these levels, probably nearly 2 metres higher.

    Re: NPD Boating Access

I haven't seen this much water in the North Pine and Kobble for a long time. Standing on the bridge over the North Pine you could feel the logs hitting the pylons as they were going downstream.

    Great photos.

I assume the bridge in your photos is the one over the NP on the road between Dayboro & Samford.

I think I'll do for a drive around the area after work today!!

    Luc,

I fogot to name the photos again. First 2 and the last one are Kobble Creek and the others are from the bridge over the North Pine at Apex park.
