    Just wondered whats the best way 2 catch 30cm+ mullit in the river?

    Cast net and hope you get lucky....
    Or, go to a small creek and if you can find a mullet school, throw some bread or dough out under a float.

    breaky creek at night..... Try dumping some packet bread crumbs in the water late at night during the week (bar shut then) and cast your net - you will be happy with the mixed bag of bait you get - mullet, herring, prawns.... you can also use the boat ramp by the restaurant - just be careful casting to the left (under the pier) - there is some rocks you will tear your net on - I learnt the hard way...

    redlands... there are heaps of creeks to look at.

    tingalpa, hilliards, the canals, mogumpum, eprapah... get out the referdex.
