    A few hours on Awoonga

Went out for a quick session this arvo. Found only a couple other trailers at the ramp in what i thought to be pretty good conditions. Any way i didn't venture to far from the ramp only a short run across to a western bay where i found water pushing in with the slight breeze. Used leccy to make my way to back of bay where i found water temp to 32 degrees and truckloads of activity Was feeling pretty confident. Proceeded to throw frogs around over top of shallow weed beds and broken weed. After about 20 minutes of casting and a couple of tentative follows i was on Only alittle fella but still a fish at least thats what i thought till it was boat side only to see it was a bloody catfish Oh well keep casting and casting and casting! End result for the arvo was 4 dropped fish and another cattie Looks like the donuts are continuing for a little while anyway. Can only hope for a better conversion rate next time. Catties still get that blood rushing.

    Cheers Shaun

Warrior, no i haven't tried fishing with a stinger. I suppose i should give it a go!

Kev, mate it is always better to be on the water than on the throne even if your not catching your target fish. Noticed both cars in the shed as i went out and thought things couldn't be too good
