U r going to be pretty limited around Copmanhurst for what I know of around there.
There is an area down from the pub where u can camp on the river, some areas upstream u can try but u would have a heap more fun if u had a canoe.

The other area is around Lillydale, not much further upstream, just follow the road till u come to the bridge crossing, again plenty of area to camp and more spots to cast from the bank.
Fish wise your target is Bass, most of the river is pretty shallow so dusk and dawn with surface lures or shallow HB's and spinnerbaits during the day.

    Hope this helps.

    Pete.

    Thanks Pete.
Sounds like we should try the Gorge rather but I hear it gets flogged?
Was told of some deep pools.

I have only been to the Gorge once, but same deal u will need something that floats although there r areas u can cast from the banks. The secret is out about the Gorge but at the right times there is still a heap of fish there, 99% of fish r released.

U also have the chance of running into big Cod up there. If u r thinking of heading up do a google search, I think the family that allows camping on their river side property is either Winters or Whithers, just few bucks a night.

Water flow will b up a s&%$T load for a while yet, u can also do a search for water levels in the rivers, I think from memory Lillydale Bridge goes under at about 2.1mtrs.

    Cheer's Pete.
