    fishing the passage

    any tips for fishing the passage around the bribie bridge and ningi creek... i generally fish for bream flathead

    Yep depending on how you fish, with bait or lures/plastics.
    I mostly fish with Sps and you will find both those fish working gutters, edges with tide flowing up on to them or off them. Mud banks are good for flatties too, especially with some patches of weed on them, dont be afraid if you are hooking some weed, keep up to it as the flatties are in there to. Drift and keep moving, you can always redrift where you hook up or get hits. I get a lot of flatties fairly shallow water as well.
    Gulp 3" minnows are great as are Gulp shrimps 2" on a light jig. Twitch a few 6" jerks and then pause to take up your slack, stay connected to your jig, dont let a big belly or slack get into your line.
    Another tip, get out there very early, crack of dawn, or be there right on dusk -dark. I always get my best fish then. maybe you know all this stuff .....

    Mate with Bribie bridge make sure that you have plenty of anchor rope as the current flows very fast
