When it rains it Pours!
Went for another fish on the river last night. Caught some prawns and after about 15 min hooked up with my second threadie. This one fought hard and after a few photos went back in to fight another day. They seem to be about at the moment.

They say it comes in 3's Duncan. Can't wait for the next one.
They're such a beautiful color,, like a big slab of gold.
Where there's bait there's fish.

Mate I hope I get a big one. Thinking back Now that I know how they fight I reckon I have hooked onto some big ones but in the past I have been too hard with them and the hooks have pulled- my new philosophy slow and steady wins the race!!

I reckon your spot on with the slow and steady, I had the same reflection as you .Once you've hit a few you begin to think I've hooked these things before. every time theres a little rain. the river gets that bit dirty and I think thats just the way they like it. Have a look at the protective clear over their eyes. It has to protect their sight in dirty water and gives them the card up the sleeve when it comes to hunting in that enviroment. You've inspired me, might have a shot one night this week if I get a chance. Cheers
