Only thing to consider is the size of the catalina compared to a Saragosa, it might be a bit smaller and have less line capacity but there is now a 6500 size available.

Alan Hawk? Alan Tani only works on overheads.

What would the Catalina 4500 be comparable to (a more well known reel) in terms of size?
"holy sh!t, did you see that?"

Hey mate, have you had a look at the Ryobi Safari 5000? They are good reels for their price.

    Thanks Tom

Mate I was lucky enough to pick up a 8000F Saragosa from Tackleworld bundy the other day for only $279 and have yet to use it but they look and feel like a solid reel. If anyone wants a new model stradic 8000 I see they had one in the case there as well for around $260 which is a hell of a good price.

    Cheers.

I'd go the stradic. I've got a stradic 5000 & 8000fi. Used the 8000 for jigging 20kg samsons & light popper work for G's, macks, queens etc. No drama's with it. Good all rounder.

Hey mate hope this helps a bit. Photo is of an Emblem Pro 5500, Catalina 4500h and a Stradic 4000 to show size comparison.
    Cheers
