you dont have to go up there to get your first barra, there is plenty of good one's here. go troll the harbour rock walls or go over inside the cape anywhere from the ross right around but fish shallow, 1-2mtrs with live bait or flick & troll lures & get up to the mangroves on a high tide, & troll the mouths when the tide is droping to the low.

Yep agree Ron, They will be hanging in the shallows where the waters will definitely be warmer.

Should be a sight seeing them smashing up in 1 to 2 foot of water!!

Thanks for the pointers, and will give it ago. I have seen people flicking lures along the edges of the mangroves at the mouth Cocos. Will not be for a little while now, but keen to see that No Barra will be in name only for me.
