Re: flatties at the seaway
Agree with you Ashh just a matter of time before it happens !!!
ps I have also had the pilly,s leaping all over me paddling through the gutter( at the beachbreak at broady) on dawn, definately not a good feeling when your by yourself with no one else out(pumping 4 ft, clean as), legs up and just hope then turn around and bail !!!

Re: flatties at the seaway
I caught the flattie thats in my avatar at the seaway. It a great place to fish. Have caught snapper and rat kinggies there too. LIvies are definately the go. Just throw out a net around the boat ramp on the way and give it a go. Use a surf rod with long trace and heavy sinker to keep the bait beyond the rocks, you lose some tackle but the rewards are worth it. Last time I went I was using a live whiting for bait and got spooled by a freight train- so don't be afraid to use heavy line.

Have a look here for some great underwater footage of the Seaway. Certainly mouth watering stuff.
