    Townsville Prawns

I have a few good spots that I throw a net for live bait around but Im usually targetting mullet etc. With Prawns being bycatch. Anyone have any places they go when trying to get prawns ?

    Cheers,

    Pridey.

    pridey,
mate i usually hit the ross around the trawlers, when they are on it's not uncommon to get your 10ltr fill quick smart. last year... first cast 5-6kg in the net.

    casey,
get in under the trawler wharf on a low tide, close to the full moon. not always there but that's the best time, if you can get a spot.

Cheers guys, will have a crack and let you know. I destroyed my net the other day. had a couple of hole and more than a few patches. filled the net on one particular cast, snagged it... sent me in to a fit of rage and I ripped it in two.......
Might have a crack with the drag net
