What size bow mount? How many lbs thrust?
If 54lb or less, a good deep cycle 120Ah 12v battery should suffice for a day's use.

        G'day

I know the 54lb watersnake draws 48A @ full thrust, I have the transom model and run it off of a 130 a/h battery.

I get up to 4 hours out of it safely with no other charging from engine or anything else.

Hey russ, after asking the same question around myself to many I've found that the way to go is to locate your nearest wholesale battery distributer and put the question to them.

I've got a 54lb Motorguide and was TOLD to get dual set up with the battery at the front of the boat, as if it was at the back it would lose power over the 4m distance.

My main man down at the battery warehouse said that is fine if want to spend hundreds! No need to spend, get a quality battery (130amp Exide sealed bout $130) i consistantly flog mine for up to 6-8hrs/day and then chuck it on the charge to top it back up during the week whilst i'm unfortunately working to support my habit

                Hope this helps mate.
