old trawler net

i was diving over at moreton on the my holiday and dicovered an old trawler net, wire and pully wheeles it probably covered an area of 6 square metres but i was amazed at the amount of fish life around it i recon 50 wobbies, huge cod, big bream, squire and all sorts of tropical stuff does anyone know why there would be all that stuff on the bottom? has a trawler ever sunk around there? the strange thing is its just the nets and everything its in 3 metres of water just of kooringal inside the bay, im def going to fish this baby at night

If the turning blocks (pulleys) are in with the nets, I'd say someone has dumped it. Might be worth having a sound around to confirm though.
