Ditto Graeme,
I have to confess I hijacked this thread just a "little" recently, having picked up my new 555 last Thursday and got her feet wet for the 1st time on Sunday. Did one lap around Peel island in 25 knot wind late afternoon. Can't wipe the smile off my face I am that impressed with the whole rig and performance. Gave the motor a quick jab of acceleration and forgot to make a mental note of actual speed I was doing, but felt like I was flying with plenty more to go. Decided to behave with a motor only 30 mins on the hour meter.
Basic spec summaryIMO the power to weight is excellent even with 4 POB, 70 ltrs of fuel on Sunday Performance is more than enough unless you are planning a trip to the moon in a rocket
