    freedom 595 w/a vs yalta 555

i currently own a 4.3m cruise craft rougue and was thinkin of upgrading. I would love a haines 600 classic or cruise craft 575 explorer. During my research i have also taken a liking to the freedom 595 walk around and the yalta craft 555. If any one owns any of these boats and could comment on their performace ect it would be appretiatted. cheers buca t

I have owned a Yalta 555 for over 2 years now.
    Pluses:
Ride, they ride very well up and down hill.
Value for money is very good.
Range with the 150L tank is awesome.
    Large cab and cockpit
    Very dry boat
    Minuses
Finish, not as good as the dearer boats
Stability at rest is what you get with 23 degrees of deadrise.
Would I buy another one, Yes. Pick is Australia day Tanga wrecks

Can't say much about the Freedom 595, but I have spent a fair amount of time on both 555 & 615 Yaltas. They are IMHO the best value for money offshore production boat on the local market. The yaltas handle very well and are very predictable, but can be a little rolly at rest. Pic of my old Yalta 615

Damn you, now I have another boat to research and take a look at. Looks like AMC is the BNE dealer, wonder why it was never mentioned when I was looking at the tournament at the tinnie and tackle show..

Great value boats. I have a 2003 model 555 and can't complain. If i had the money i would by another. (about 36k driveaway at the boat show) Those 595 offshores look pretty sexy too.

Hey lump, who did you get the 36K quote from? Is that with the 115 Yam 2st?

I think you can even get them cheaper than that. 115yam 2 stroke at the show, but if you strip of radios and carpet and sounder and all that stuff they go for a song.

Hmmm, well Marine Tune are advertising them for around $39K "on special", that's for a pretty basic package with very little fruit and the 115 Yam 2st. Even if you chuck out all the extras I can't see them going to $36K which is why I'm asking lump where he got the price from. Now you're saying they'll go for even less (how much??) - care to elaborate?

Sorry Lizard been working too hard. The price was $35990 at the tinnie and tackle show for the Fisherman version. From memory it had rocket launcher , bait board. plumbed livey tank(set further in toward the side giving it a bit more area) sounder(I think Hummingbird?) 115 yammy 2 stroke and radios.Maybe even a GPS??? They also had a family version which had full camp covers and toilet etc for $36990
