    I was cast netting for bait last night and pulled this up, has any one got any ideas?

    happy moment or mia mia....you will find out why they call them a hapy moment if you ever get spiked by them

    looks like what they call a local dory? scat probably real name

    thanks everybody, i'd heard the name dory and john dory used for these before, but thought they were mistaken as looked nothing like a JD

    wasn't sure about it, so retuned it home. would have got nice thick fillets from it though easily 20mm thick.

    interesting fishbase doesn't have it coming this far south but people seem to know it.

    I've caught these (Butter bream) in a cast net a few times when chasing mullet, They are good eating, when skinned. Make sure you cut the spines first. I've eaten over 30 and never got ill.
