Im heading to the tweed river for easter and taking my boat.
Never fished the area before so just looking for a bit of help for what techniques bait and spots to try. Not asking for your 'special spot' just a few pointers.

Mate, if you have a yabby pump, head down to the island near the golf club on low tide, plenty there (soldier crabs too). You can fish all around the club there. My personal pick if fishing yabbies by boat would be to head down Tumbulgum way and either anchor up or drift around the banks there. My personal experience with the Tweed (baiting yabbies) lately is that there is tonnes of undersize Bream annoying you. The same at tumbulgum but on a incoming tide over the flats around there, there is some nice whiting if willing to put up with the baby Bream that OWN the Tweed lately (this is my luck with yabbies for over a month)
