thats the way to do it, cant win comps with no fish in the boat. hehe i just watched a few of his other vids and dam, the guy is fruit cake. imagin if our guys carried on like that at a comp here, they'd be laughed or sent off the lake

What is wrong with these guys? I get myself into trouble for saying it but from what I see on youtube US bass guys really have no idea how to play a fish. They seem to have no concept of how to use a rod to fight the fish and just use their reels as a winch. I can understand the need to skull like crazy when the fish is running for deep cover but doing that right at the boat and then breaking the line is beyond stupid. It looks like he has set the drag so heavy that when the fish tries to do one last run he has to pull line off his spool.
In saying all this though, that US guy who fished AFC had more of an idea of how to fight fish than any of the other competitors.
