You either need to purchase navionics software (navplanner) or Fuigawi software (Marine Navigator ENC I think) and both come with a navionics card reader to decrypt the charts. No other way you can use it on the PC unfortunately.

Andy is right, it is the card reader that is able to decrypt the data, the data is encrypted using the inbuilt serial number in the SD card. Once you have the reader there are a few software packages that are able to read the data.

Actually, to be super techo, all the card reader does is allow the software to read the serial number off the card. The software itself does the decryption. Normal card readers are not able to read the serial number, or at least I could not find any that did.

    Thanks Andy & Honda

navplanner cost $A375 from Marine direct.
    Fuigawi marine ENE $US280

Gee more money to fork out of my pocket, won't happen becuase already spent nearly 1K for combo & gold card...

Wish I'm nerd to able to crack software and read on PC...

If you can afford the extra bucks, i would go with the fugawi software. Navplanner is crap.

I bought the nav planner software. I decided pretty quickly that it was rubbish, so I downloaded the fugawi trial. Much better. I plan to purchase the fugawi software though.
