Matt, ....we have a problem here... first we blamed the water quality...things like Sediment...The weed dying....Water to hot./ cold.... And thought the lake was going though a phase... the good times will return....Well they have not...Why ?....l just dont know ! We have had a small inflow ...the water quality has improved...But heres the strange part.... the fish that l do manage to catch have punture wounds from being caught before..Then you will get a bite time where you get lots of bites and maybe a fish or two.... that may last for a hour or so.....Then nothing not a bite for two or three days.....The fish are there you can see them on the sounder....Has the bubble burst ? do we now have smarter fish ? Time will no doubt will give us the answer

fished thursday friday and saturday nights before hamish sent us a little blow
thursday was by far the best fished a bay in NZ plenty of love taps like trev said but then the bite just turned on at 11.30 with four fish hooks and jumping off one a true horse and three boated 84cm 98cm and a nice 110cm with tapscoming from just about every cast then it just shut down just as quick 12.30 but what an hour one thing of note was this hour also coincided with the moon setting just below the tree line.
Friday headed up to Iva just before sunset plenty of taps just on twilight then as soon as it went down switch flick and three 90s tripple hookup and every man for himself then nothing punched on for another two hours then shot over to NZ lot of wind and choppy water headed back at 11.00 coundn't last till the moon set but only got two bumps
Saturday back out for the evening on the water at 5.30 bit more wind from hamish so head back up Iva near the timber very little wind same again sun went down no moon thanks to the clouds just a faint glow no prewarning taps just three quick hookups in about ten minutes two jump offs and one boated nice 91cm hooked on the nose by the treble on the squidgy didn't jump once but really pulled hard and took some awsome runs was call for a lot bigger fish
all fishing was done with softies mixed up with hollows sqiudgys and basstrix
like trev said the fish are the but the window is very small
    matt
