Thread: Stop farting in the chior.

Re: Stop farting in the chior.

great sentiments oldboot, however, there are some like myself that even though handed a song sheet will not necessarily sing the words nor match the harmony. Every individual in any organisation has the right to speak their mind...if that goes against the grain of the Executive or the majority of members then that Executive and members can then initiate rules/regualtions for the removal of those types of members from the organisation..but that will never work as you will only end up with a small clique with very little support.

The rally went along okay just a pity there were not a lot more in attendance..even some on here vowed they would be there but I bet they did not attend.

It is a hard road to garner support continually for something like SOBA...people have a lot of other activities in their lives which gain higher priorities.

We can all hope SOBA does flourish but asking people to keep their mouth shut and forget other issues, well...I am afraid that will not help in any way. Encouragement for people to air their gripes etc is just as important as hearing people with their encouragement of the organisation.

PS..and why do you think some of us are always in the back row of the choir???
because we have a flatulence problem.

Never been in a choir, as my voice is more atoned to a sing a long with a group of cane toads.

    G'day OldBoot!

    How does it help ?

By pointing out that the applause for a great choir is a little premature if media outlets last week were quoting Sunfish who, they said, represented recreational fishermen, was happy with green zones.

I wonder how many recreational fishermen know about SOBA , MBAA and what their involvement and policies are? That's what I meant by who is the choir and where do we get song sheets.

Maybe your choir has sung the Intrada but the main body of the work is still to be performed.

The only thing Sunfish are happy with is the time each year they hold out their hand for the govt subsidy, so if they step out of line this hand shake could be seriously effected.

    Ray,

Partly right; we are still getting to the chorus. Sunfish say they represent rec fishos but only those that really are part of a fishing club. They have the same thing in most states of Australia with the same comments for & against in the same way. I would ask the joe blogs fisherman if they knew of sunfish...same as SOBA, MBAA etc.

We are still getting there, but we are getting there quickly.

Thanks for these words mate, and you are right that we need both vocal and non vocal communication on points of view. if we didn't we wouldn't be in a democratic society having a good view at both sides.

By the way, I am quite glad we got you in the back row.........pee-ewww

Re: Stop farting in the chior.

There is room for people to air their gripes..... that is in the rehersal room and not during public performance.

We also need to take a lesson from the various other political activist causes ( like the greenies).

There are a variety of groups with different views and methods that operate and comment independently.

for instance the moderate greens prefeer not to be seen as associated with the "loonies" who climb smoke stacks and spray paint opera houses.
But they will most certianly be available for comment when the issue has been raised and been made public by the loonies.

In fact those groups that seem to have a variety of opinions and methods will most certainly be communicating and may in fact share quite a few members and sometimes executive.

How many orginisations is Simon Baltis a member or leader of.

there are those in these groups that fart plenty but the store it up and do it where it helps.... or at least annoys the opposition.

    cheers
Its the details, those little details, that make the difference.
