The missus wants to go fishing tomorrow night, just wondering where to go, thought either Tin Can Bay and up to Kaurie Cr or Burrum River. Will be camping on the boat as the missus isn't keen on sharing with the handbags that are said to be roaming around at the moment. Never been to Burrum so that appeals a bit and have heard of some nice Jacks been caught up that way.
BUrrum is a lovely spot but in terms of scenery maybe Kaurie is prob better. You have to watch the boat ramp at burrum (that is at burrum heads - not burrum river) with a nor easterly it's a nightmare.
Wherever you choose, take plenty of Bushmans. The sandflies are so bad up there at the moment after a hot & wet period, I was eaten alive in the middle of the sandy straits (2km from the nearest land) when the breeze drops.
