    Noosa Canyons, any tips??

Hi there, has anyone got any tips for fishing wide of the Hards (the dogleg/canyons).
Will be heading out for the first time that way for a few days just after the new moon this month chasing blacks/blues/dolphin/yellowfin (might even try for a broadbill one night, ha ha ha ha, but got to be in it to win it hey!!)
Also maybe thinking of heading out wide of Moreton.
Only two of us so lures will be the easiest option although keen to try livies as well.
Just subscribed to SST so just starting to look into that.
Any tips on what/when/how and why would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers.

mate, best way to learn all this sort of stuff is to join a game fishing club. Our (scgfc) March meeting was the tuesday night just gone. Next meeting will be the first Tuesday in April.

I have fished there many times in a 17 footer but you need to be prepared. A good seaworthty boat with plenty of range and good weather is all you need. There are plenty of good fishermen at the gamefishing club to point you in the right direction.

    Thanks Damien,

Hopefully weather is good, have a good seaworthy boat and about 550km range so will just head out and see what happens.
Was in the GFC in Mackay and found the advice to be invaluable so will be getting to a meeting as soon as i can. Nothing like local knowledge to steer you in the right direction when you move to a new place.
Also work week on week off so will be keen to meet people who have weekdays off as well and hook up with them

    Thanks
