do not listen to anything you are told at any bbq or rally

there is no way in hell you can fish in a green zone without a permit for research and it has to meet a criteria like the tagging and counting effort last year that James Cook uni organised in the green areas near Yeppoon

if you think there is a way, think again
you can lose your boat, gear and car if you are caught without the right paperwork

with the satelite viewing the gov can get and when your green areas are declared they will be keeping an eye on them for a while
you will get caught
I am on your side but it seems you guys aren't getting the full picture from uninformed sources take it from someone that has gone down the same road before looking for a loophole when they closed of a huge chunk of central and northern QLD

Hey guys on the eve of the next Save The Bay event i thought it would be a good chance to hear a few things that i heard would happen to someone who is caught in a Grrrrrrrreen Zoooone Fact or Fiction No1 You receive a criminal record for Life Fact or Fiction No2 While travelling to your secret fishing spot when a hook comes loose on your STOWED RODS you slow down to prevent someone loosing an eye, you grab the rod and you have committed you HORRIFIC CRIMANAL ACT ! All these facts came from a great article in a boat sales mag i read. And this next one was a classic Fact or Fiction No3 If while travelling to your favourite inshor/offshore spot you need to Slow/Stop to fix something or grab some ones loose things flying around you have just committed your next HORIFFIC CRIMANAL act because you had done what most of use do and that is have your Sounder/Gps running while in this UN-Marked Grrrrrrrreen Zzzzoone which is deemed as looking for FISH ! and that is called part of the MOST HORRIFIC thing that we do called FISHING Hope some one can tell me that these things wont really Happen

Claim you never read anything, never heard or never saw anything about the green zones, and because the EPA didn't send you a letter direct as a registered boatie, you had no idea there were green zones...

Or, another excuse is that you are color blind and the green zones look red

I hope that no one is syupid enough to fish in a green zone. You guys down south need to get over it and learn to live with it. We have in the north. Just do the right thing and dont get caught. I dont why you would want to fish in one any way they are mainly nursuries so most of the fish you catch are unsized and a watse of bait, time, and fuel.

But if you do fish in a green zone I really hope that you loose everything boat, car trailor and gear. thats what you deserve.

Liken it to this I own a gun I dont shoot anybody! Why because its against the law. Fishing in a green zone is against the law!

Hey all id just rather do something than nothing, to say i tried to make some difference. If you wish to say that you think its a waste of time then thats ok too but i i like to have a go, what harm could it cause ? Just my opinion !
