Definately a great introduction to bass fishing. It took me 3 years to crack a wildy that size. There are two common bench marks for bass. 50cm total length (tip of the nose to the tip of the tail) and 50cm fork length (tip of the nose to the inside of the caudal fork). Before bass were stocked into impoundments either of these fish were a rare catch. But now in dams like BP, somerset, wivanhoe etc the bass grow quickly and to larger proportions. A truely large bass is more like 55 fork length with some fish even pushing the 60cm mark.
nice bass mate, your doing very well in the fresh and saltwater, keep them comming
If i could get paid the same to fish, sorry boss but i ......!
My biggest (and first trip ever to catch bass) was 45cm to the fork, and hit 2.5kg... then the next fish was 42cm to the fork, that fish hitting 2.3kg!
Cania Dam, Jackall's in Black and also in Ayu.
