I have just been over to Moreton Island the past week, thought I might drive around Comby point to Yellow Patch, I was greeted by a NO ENTRY sign, beach safe area or something to that effect. So I drove inland to Yellow Patch and onto Nort Point, about 1 kilometer away from my Nort point I was greeted with another NO ENTRY sign, this is for vehicles, so if yo want to fish North Point, you have to park your car up, grab all your gear and walk the sand upto North Point.
I just don't get it, this suppossed to protect the beach?
I used to be a regular visitor to North Point and as any other regular visitor would know, the terrain constantly changes, with lagoons some years and other years there are none.
How does stopping vehicle access to North Point protect the sand?
