    daiwa certate CRBB bearings

    hi,

    just wondering weather have anyone swapped the normal bearings on their certate to the CRBB type?.i was thinking about it but unsure after finding out on the prices on each individual CRBB.............$18 plus through daiwa australia.

    Mate I wouldn't bother, they are silky smooth without them and unless you are flogging it in the salt, which in any case the reel is going to get stuffed, then the bearings they come with will be fine. Just remember after every use to give it a quick spray with one of those hand water sprayers people use for spraying weeds (only use fresh warm water of course) and then give it a wipe down with a wet chux and let it dry in an airy room. Remove the spool and wipe underneath it as well, and let it dry. Every 2nd trip I spray the roller bearing and any other bits that need it with Lanox, nothing else. My Certate 2000 is going on 3 and a half years and it 's still as smooth as, and hasn't had or needed a major service.
